Need help centrair airport by car

Do they check your driving licence when you enter the airport by car.
The truth is that well i dont have a valid japanese licence , i have a British IDP , but ive been here over a year so i can use that ..

I'm not positive but I think they only check your passport (since you are not Japanese)
However are you aware that Japan only honors an IDP for one year from the date that you enter Japan. That means that if you've been here for over a year then you are driving illegally.
