ATM machine pin numbers

We are leaving for our trip soon and heard that you can use Chinese ATM cards in post offices and 7 - 11s (on the Unionpay network). However, our pin numbers is 6 digits. Will this cause problems since I read on here the machines use 4 digits?
HELP NEEDED URGENTLY ASAP thanks!
