factory outlets in chiba 2007/10/21 14:04
hi, there is this place called garden walk - http://www.gardenwalk-outlet.com/shopguide/index.html which sells branded stuff at a cheaper price.

but what is the price range like for eg. Triumph, Wacoal, adidas and coach? is it worth to go there as I have limited time to go around in Tokyo.

Thanks!

I was there a few weeks ago and did some shopping in the adidas store. The prices were typical Japanese outlet with shoes ranging from 3000-10000 yen. Many times at outlets shops in Japan should be called brand stores instead of outlets as there prices are often regular price. Their sales are pretty good, however, but often times the prices at the outlet shops are very comparable to regular price back in the states. For example, a North Face t-shirt regularly costs 5000 yen but can be found for 3000 yen at the outlet. A good deal for Japan but no deal if you're coming from the US.

One thing you should note is that Garden Walk seems to time their sales to big events at the nearby convention center. This weekend the Tokyo Motor Show will begin and there is a corresponding sale at Garden Walk.
