How to go from Nikko to Takaragawa Onsen

Hi,
I'll be staying a day in Nikko (turtle's Inn) and then travel northwards to Takaragawa Onsen.
I can't seem to link the rails & very confusing.
Could anyone guide me towards travelling there please? Thank you!

There is no direct route from Nikko to Takaragawa Onsen even though they are relatively close. The fastest way involves 3 transfers and takes about 3 hours. If you want to use all JR lines however you have to go down to Omiya and then back up to Gunma. It takes about 3.5 hours. The nearest train station to Takaragawa Onsen is Minakami Station. From there you need to catch a bus to the onsen (about 45 minutes). The bus leaves at 7:32, 9:47, 11:40, 2:25, and 4:25. Return buses leave at 8:45, 10:50, 12:55, 3:30, and 5:20.
