Hi,

Im trying to find a decent ryokan in Kyoto. One that is in a good area thats close to public transport but also in the heart of traditional japan. I heard gion was a nice geisha area. Could you recommend me some ryokans?

So far, I found the Tawaraya to be the best ryokan in Kyoto (and Japan), but it is very expensive:

The Seikoro is a great Ryokan, but is also quite expensive.
