Japanese gardens in Tokyo? 2007/11/3 22:06
Hello,

I just might be able to get a half day off during the week in Tokyo. I would love to go see some traditional Japanese gardens.
Could you kindly suggest any that may be open 2 pm onwards?
Which ones would you recommend?

My favorites are Hama Rikyu, Rikugien and Koishikawa Korakuen:

Yes, Kiyosumi garden is very nice. It is not too large to enjoy the beautiful scenery at once and there is a good museum called Fukagawa Edo Museum 5minutes walk from there. You can see the life of the late Edo period (200 years ago)in a compact space.
