Accomodation in Furano/Niseko

Hi,
il be travelling to Hokkaido from 7 Dec til 14 Dec.
If i would like to visit Furano or Niseko, may i know:-
1. If im jus a beginner for skiing, Furano or Niseko is more suitable for me?
2. should i make it as day trip or need to stay over?
3. If stay over, any recommended ski resort which is easily accessible by JR trains/bus and near to skiing area.

Niseko is quite steep. I think Furano has more choices for beginners.
should i make it as day trip or need to stay over?
I recommend to stay overnight at least once to get a full day of skiing.
