Question about JR pass

Hi, can anybody tell me if the time at which you validate your JR pass is taken into account? If, for instance, I had a one-week pass and I validated it at 1pm on a Monday, would it still be valid for travel on the following Monday morning? Or would it expire at midnight on the Sunday? Thanks!

The Japan Rail Pass is valid on consecutive calendar days (midnight to midnight).
For example, if you start using it on Monday at 11pm, it will be valid through Sunday.
