Cheaper way of travelling to Nikko

Hi, I need some advise here. Going to Nikko for a day trip on 15th Nov with family of 4 adults + 4 children. We will be visiting the Lake Chuzenji, Kegon waterfall, Akechidaira Ropeway and maybe Chuzenji Onsen but not the shrines. Could anyone advise which is the best and cheaper way to reach Nikko. All Nikko Pass or Spacia + bus tickets? I had read in the forum somewhere there is bus ticket unlimited rides at 2000 yen but i could not find the website. Thanks so much =)

Would it be better to purchase the All Nikko Free Pass online ,or just purchase it upon arrival?
