Are there any places in OSAKA where I can get hold of Geisha dolls/toys?? My friend wants these badly, and I cant seem to find them anywhere, especially as a visitor here in Japan.

Recycle shops recycle second hand goods and you can find geisha ningyo (Gesisha Dolls) in most all across Japan. I bought one for 1,000 yen which is like $10.00. I figured they had left a zero off the proce tag by mistake because it was immaculate and elborate. The dolls also holds a kabuto (samurai armour helmet and came in a case. If you want to spend around $100 -$250 for a brand new one contact these guys http://www.kyugetsu.com/english/index.html they may know someone who is a dealer in your area.

The dolls in kimono shown at the above site are not geisha.
Although I've been living in Japan since I was born, I've never seen dolls of "geisha"...
