hello everybody, help is needed.... I am a Malaysian Citizen (holding Malaysian passport) and reside in U.S. with a green card - permanent resident. Question is do I need to apply for a visa to visit Japan? Plan for the trip in April, is this month a busy tourist month in Japan? Tks

Lian, For Malaysia passport holder ,yes you do! Only 3 countries in Asia have Reciprocal Visa Exemption Arrangements with Japan / limited time : HONGKONG,SINGAPORE AND BRUNEI

Plus South Korea, Taiwan, and Macau. Macau and Hong Kong are SARs of China, but is allowed under Visa exemption, mainland china is not. http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/02.htmlBeing Malay you need a Visa. Contact the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in the United States for more information.
