advice on osaka 2007/11/11 11:04
Need some advice on my trip to Osaka in a week time and will be staying in Umeda.

Day 1 -arrive in Osaka in the afternoon. Tenjimbashisuji Shopping Street and Hep 5.

Day 2- Tempozan Habour Village. Floating garden Observatory in the evening.

Day 3 - Osaka Castle. Shinsaibashi, Namba and Dotombori.

Day 4 - Universal Studio

Day 5 - Nara & Tsuruhashi

Day 6 - Umeda before flying home.

(1) will the itinerary be tiring for kids aged 4 and 7?
(2) any other places that I have missed out?
(3) and things that I should take note of while travelling with the kids?

Thank You for any advice.

It is doable within 4 days and Nara is a good day excursion with the kids because of the deer.

go to Universal Studio early.. as there are long q for rides.. bring a warm jacket and stay till evening to watch the Christmas Carols under the Large Christmas Tree.. if you are going end Nov / early Dec..

Dotonburi can be visited twice as food and shopping are abundance..

If you can, should include a day trip to Kyoto via the bullet train (Shinkansen) - 15mins ride but its an experience for the children..
Lots of temples and nice scenary in Kyoto.. and if you are lucky you may see some young ladies dressing like Geisha...
have fun
