Hi,
Just wondering what the chances of getting infected with Hepatitis A is in Japan. i.e. is the drinking water safe? are people vaccinated against the disease?
Unfortunately, I didn't go see my doctor about getting the required shots (first time overseas) and shots and its too late to take the shots.
Cheers,

Well, im not a doctor but basically from what I've heard your no more likely to catch it in japan then you are in the States/Canada/Europe.
I went last year and didnt get the shot either and came out fine.

You can get Hepatitis A anywhere so it is a good shot to have, but as above you are not really any more likely to pick up Hep A in Japan than you are in your home country, so don't worry about it- get it next time you travel.
