I grew up in South America and saw many anime-series from Japan like Mazinger, Ninja Kamui, Sawamura, Voltron, Heidi, Marco and so on. My absolute favorite was Candy Candy, but why can't I find any Candy Candy video in Japan?

My google search found out that Toho Anime's contract with the publisher (Kodansha) has already been expired. And contract renewal is almost impossible as the original writer of the story sued the cartoonist...
I was also a great fan of Candy Candy.
