Is there a site out there that posts expressway tolls? We want to drive from Hachioji to Matsumoto on the Chuo expressway, if that is, in fact, the fastest route.

I don't know if there is an English site, but the following let's you look up the tolls in Japanese: http://www.driveplaza.com/dp/SearchTopHachioji to Matsumoto costs 4350 yen one way for a regular car. It is the most direct and fastest way to get from Hachioji to Matsumoto by car.

The Bilingual Road Atlas of Japan has a chart of tolls in the back of the book. We've found through experience that some tolls are off by 50 to 100 yen but it's a good guide. If you are going to be driving much in Japan I recommend it.
It has an orange cover and you can get it in many bookstores in Japan or through some Amazon.com sellers.
