Hi - Are there lots of shops selling ski gear (like skis, clothing etc) in Hirafu? And are the prices reasonable or are they more expensive because its a resort town?

There are several places in Niseko-Hirafu. There are also a couple of stores in Kutchan (the nearest town) which carries reasonably priced gear I've always found the guys at kutchannel.net to be helpful, and there's a directory of Niseko-Hirafu sales and hire shops there as well.
