Sending a Package

I have a Christmas package ready now, but I'm not sure if the Post Office will be open tomorrow (December 26) or not. The package is about 5 kg (11 pounds) and will be sent to the U.S. Is there an online service I can use for pickup? The post office is quite far from my apartment. Also, I don't have a printer or credit card.

I think you need to pay the postage by cash anyway (at the post office).
Best to take the parcel to your nearest post office I suppose, unless you want to Fedex it :)
I know that before postal services became Japan Post Co., Ltd., they at least used to have a service where you could call up your nearest post office and ask them to come pick up a DOMESTIC parcel, but I'm not sure if they did that for international parcel; even for domestic, they might have discontinued it.
