how to count....?

Hi there,

Thank you in advance for helping what may seem like a very trivial question, but how does the days count for a 14day rail pass?

I have purchased one on 28th Dec and it says that it finishes on 9th Jan (inclusive) but that seems to be only 13days of use?

I dont think that the people at the office gets these things wrong but could someone please explain how the days are counted.

It looks wrong,
28, 29, 30, 31, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09.

It sounds to me as though the people at the ticket office stamped it incorrectly, giving you only 13 days. I have heard of similar mistakes before, so I suggest you take it to a JR office for rectification.
