i have called some travel agents but they are asking nearly AUD$800 for it and it said it is valued at AUD$65 when i convert from YEN. please help.

The 7-day JR pass should cost you about $300 AUD or slightly less at current exchange rates. The 14-day pass should be roughly twice that. $800 is too high and $65 is too low. Have you checked with JTB online, or similar sites?
