How to type Japanese 2008/1/22 12:40
Basically I'd like to type

田中れいな

With the font on the very bottom of this page.

http://www.jref.com/language/fonts.shtml

I have downloaded the font, but I don't know how to type it, and I can't highlight the text, and choose the font to have it change.

Could someone help me?

Thank you.

On my PC the page doesn't load for some reason, but here's a general way:

Download and install the font. (usually right-click on the ttf file and select something like Install Font, or copy the ttf file manually to your Font directory, usually c:/windows/fonts)
Open Wordpad
Copy and paste the characters to Wordpad.
Select the characters in Wordpad
Select the desired font.

If you have any problems, please describe them in more detail. :)

This font is basically a Kanji version of Webdings. Basically, if you hit "a" you'll get a random symbol. So with this font, you can make the sentence that you want.

Try this font instead. I hope you can type in Japanese.

It doesn't have that cool-looking black stamp appeal, but at least you'll get something out of it. If you like, I am pretty handy with photoshop and can make it look like that font you were attracted to.
