Travel between Aomori and Sapporo?

I can't seem to find a lot of information on going to Sapporo from Aomori and vice versa. The only thing I have found is a night train. Any information on that? And are there any alternative trains, and how long do they take and cost? Or maybe buses? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
