Parent moving to Japan also... 2008/1/28 18:29
I am interested in moving to Japan to attend medical school. The problem is that I don't want to leave my mother behind. She has agreed to come, but I do not know what visa she would need or what job she could have. She doesn't have a university degree but a cosmetology license. I really don't want to leave my mother in the US while I'm thousands of miles away. She is also very interested in seeing Japan at least. What ways are there for her to move to Japan with me?

I think you'll have to leave your mom behind in the States. She can come here on a 90 day tourist visa but she probably can't get a visa to live here. Take a look at the website below and see what she could qualify for.
