Hi,I have some question about travelling by train
1. the cost of couchette in night train in the list is cost per person?
2. If I make a seat reservation using JR pass,but finally I can't get in the train in time,can I catch a later train then?

Yes.
2. If I make a seat reservation using JR pass,but finally I can't get in the train in time,can I catch a later train then?
Yes. You can either use a non-reserved car on a later train or get a new seat reservation. Please make the effort to return and cancel your unusued seat reservation at the ticket office if you know you won't be able to use it. A high rate of no-shows by railpass users could quite possibly cause the JR companies to introduce restrictions or abolish free reservations altogether.
