Hi, I have been placed at a school Kokusai Jouhou in Rittou, Shigo. Can anyone tell me about the school and the town.

The correct spelling of the prefecture you will be staying in is Shiga. And the city's name is usually romanized as Ritto. That will probably result in better search engine results.
