I will be travelling to Japan in 1st to 8th April 2008 and wanted to know when cherry blossom season is likely to be in Tokyo?

Anna,
I think that you'll hit the peak right on. My prediction is that cherry blossoms peak on April 2-5 this year in Tokyo. Just my educated guess with years of experience.
