Like Hokkaido that August for lavender, Feb. for snow festival, how about Okinawa? Now, I plan to go either end of March or end of April. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I think the best season for Okinawa is summer (July/August) especially if you love sea activities.
If you cannot change your schedule, late April would be better than late March. Average temp in late March is still 19 degree.

As mentioned by JLady, the best season to visit Okinawa in terms of weather is summer. Okinawa records the ratio of sunny days in the second half of June and in July. Although many people imagine Okinawa to be nice in winter, the weather actually tends to be rather bad with quite a lot of rain. But it is considerably less cold than the rest of Japan. Especially in August and September there is a relatively high risk of losing a day to a typhoon.
