Nuts Deadly Allergy 2008/2/19 01:31
Hi!

I'm travelling soon to Japan and I'm a bit worried because I'm deadly allergic to all kind of nuts (not peanuts nor almonds).

I found already some posts about this subject, but can't find anything I could show to the people in a restaurant (waiter, cook).

Could someone be nice and translate this into Japanese? (I mean so they could read it)

"I'm deadly allergic to nuts. is there ANY kind of nuts in this food ?"

or something like that!

Thank you very much in advance!

Raf, did you really read the other posts? If you're "deadly" allergic to something, don't ask for translations by anonymous people of the internet like myself.

Ask a reliable person at your hotel or tour counter, and let that person translate your card, and then let another person proof-read it. That's what I've repeatedly been recommending on this forum.

Thanks Uco for your answer!

yeah you're quite right!

I finally found someone that speaks japanese and that I trust ;)

so I'll prepare some sentences to be translated and keep them with me during the whole trip!

hope it'll be ok!

My friend was looking at the SelectWisely travel cards. You can buy cards printed in different languages that you can take with you. Since you already have a Japanese friend, they can use similar sentences and descriptions.
