Buying disposable slippers 2008/2/20 01:07
I would like to buy a few pairs of very light disposable slippers like the ones you get in some hotels.

Are they being sold anywhere in Japan? I visited a few stores/supermarkets, but the only slippers I saw were of a non-disposable kind. They are too heavy (my hand luggage is on the heavy side, so every gram counts).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Japan Tourist,

I don't recall seeing disposable slippers on sale, but lightweight foldable slippers for travel use are available in larger departments stores with a travel goods section.

Disposable slippers are mostly sold by wholesales in a unit of a box. But I think you can find similar lightweight slippers at 100 yen shops.

I'm pretty sure Tokyu Hands sells them in their travel section. I would also check out 100 yen shops.
