Kyoto to Kawaguchiko on April 11th 2008/3/2 05:48
I'm planning to travel from Tokyo to Kyoto by train, and on the way back I have to go from Kyoto to Kawaguchiko on April 11th.
I'm reading a lot of different itineraries and options.. Could you tell me:
- should I buy a pass or just use tickets?
- I understand I have to go to Mishima by train, and then bus. Is there a direct bus to Kawaguchiko, or is there a stop in Gotenba?
- where can I find the time tables, is it possible to book in advance? I want to arrive early in Kawaguchiko.

If you want to arrive early in Kawaguchiko, I recommend to take the direct overnight bus. At 8500 yen it is also one of the cheapest travel options:
