Ikeda Zoo Okayama

We were considering going to the Ikeda Zoo on our next Japan trip, on a free day in Okayama, and were wondering how you would get there from the JR Station (we're staying at the Hotel Granvia).

Take Okaden bus (bound for Okayama Chuo Byoin 岡山中央病院) from West side of the station, get off at Kyoyama stop （京山). Ikeda zoo is about 10 min walk from the bus stop.

Thanks for your help, but i'm always wary of riding buses in Japan especially if they don't go directly to my destination, would you have an idea on how much a taxi would cost from the hotel granvia to the zoo?
