Yokohama/Kamakura to Fuji 5 lakes 2008/3/13 15:12
I'm trying to put together a short trip which loops out from Tokyo, taking in Yokohama, Kamakura and Fuji 5 Lakes before returning to Tokyo.
However, I can't find out how easy/hard it is to travel from Yokohama/Kamakura to Fuji 5 Lakes...is it possible? Or would I have to backtrack to Tokyo?

Thanks!

There are three daily direct bus services between Yokohama and Kawaguchiko each way.

If they don't meet your schedule, you might head to Shinjuku by JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line, then change to the Chuo Highway Bus.

Shonan-Shinjuku Line from Yokohama to Shinjuku:
Duration; 30 min.
Cost; 540 yen/one way
Frequency; 4 times/h

Bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko:
Cost; 1,700 yen/one way
Duration; 1 hour 45 minutes
Frequency; 7:40 to 13:10: every 30 minutes, 13:10 to 20:10: every 1 hour
