I will be in tokyo mid march, may someone advise me as to where i can shop for for music instruments, particularly drumsets and related items and supplies. I need Drum skins; drum sticks; cymbals.

Hi - the best is near the Ochanomizu station, there's a street heading downhill from the JR station exit that has many shops, several specializing in drums & perc.
Also in Shibuya near Tokyu dept. store are several shops.
