Furukawa hotels?

Hi,
I would like to visit Takayama for the festival on April 14. I will be traveling to Takayama on that day from Kyoto but the last train seems to be around 6:30pm. I been trying to find hotels and I was wondering if anybody knew some names of hotels in Furukawa that I can look up/reserve? Or maybe some cities that aren't too far away from Takayama. I read on Japan-guide that Furukawa is only 25 mins away with local train from Takayama. Does anybody know what is the time of the last local train to Furukawa? I would like to stay for the night festival. Thank you very much!!!

There is a minshuku there whose name I've forgotten, though www.japaneseguesthouses.com was the organization that found it for me and they may be able to help you.
I stayed in Furukawa because like you I couldn't find room in Takayama for the Spring festival. You can get to Takayama by bus or train - the stations are right next to each other in Furukawa. The trip is short, and we stayed for the night festival and got a train shortly after it was over. The bus schedule is very clear as well and I believe there are buses that go back to Furukawa after the last train.
