Does anyone know how to go about cleaning the aircon filter? It is the typical fan on the outside unit on the upper wall type of aircon and is a fairly new one. I'm kind of afraid to mess with it but im sure it needs cleaning. How do I get to the filter and how do i clean it off or do i have to buy a new one?

On my unit the front lifts up and there are 2 filters inside- I pull them slowly straight down and then vacuum the dust off them.
I slide them back in the way they came out, being careful not to bend them.
See if the front lifts up on your unit- I think most of them are similar.
An online search may show you diagrams.
