best hotel in tokyo and kyoto

we're a family of four, all girls, and are looking for a decent hotel in tokyo and kyoto. somewherein shinjuku or shibuya is preferred. up to $250. any suggestions?

What Dollar is it? Singapore, US, Zimbabwe? Expect to get difficulties finding one room for four. This is not common for hotels in Tokyo or Kyoto. There are Disney Resort hotels with family room for four, but this is not Shinjuku/Shibuya area. For Kyoto a good option can be a Ryokan, what can sleep four in a room.

$250 in US dollars can you recommend any ryokans near the kyoto station? is the kyoto station a good location (starting point) for sight-seeing?

Actually, there are hundreds of hotels both in Kyoto and Tokyo and Nobody but u knows what is the most suitable to ur preference. Try well-known international hotel chains if u'd like to stay as if you were in ur own country.
