They are often offered with both original audio with Japanese subtitles and dubbed in Japanese. At larger movie theaters you can find both playing.

As mentioned numerously on similar threads on this forum, in theaters, kiddy movies usually have over-dubbed versions while other movies are usually available only in subtitled versions. However, DVDs usually contain both subtitles and over-dubbs in one disk.
