What's the weather in Hakone like in mid May? Do Ryokans typically have heaters? (I'm staying at Mikawaya Ryokan)

Based on one trip at that time last year, We wore light jackets early in the day, but by mid-day it was in the 70's. A bit foggy early. But that's just one trip on one day. Overall, Tokyo, Kyoto, Kiso were warm, dry and pleasant.
