NTT Phone Line

So my new apartment will not come with a phone line, and I don't own the one in my current apartment. I will need to buy or rent my own.

I've been reading all kinds of information on this, but what I really wanted to know was how much can I expect to pay for a phone line? I know new, from NTT, its around 70,000yen but 2nd hand are much cheaper apparently.

Has anyone done this recently who'd like to give me some advice please!

Or should I just forgoe the actual phone line, get ADSL without a phone line, and use some internet phone service?

There are some Satellite internet and phone service like OCC. It will cost about 6000 a month for both. I bought a computer at Softmap and set up OCC at the same time. Pretty good deal.
