Need your advice,if my kids could just have a day trip from Tokyo to Osaka to visit Universal Studios thru shinkansen? What time is their last trip from Osaka to Tokyo? Secondly,how do we go to Sanrio Puroland? How far is it from Tokyo and can we also take shinkansen? Thank you

I'ts kind of a long trip, but it's doable...
you have to get of the shinkansen à Shin-osaka, then take the JR Kyoto line to Osaka station where you can catch a train bound to "Sakurajima", and Universal City is the last stop before terminus. It's a 3h45 long trip either way.
As for the way beck, the last Hikari Shinkansen departs at 20:33 from Shin-osaka, and if you do not plan on using a railpass (which I doubt!), you can take the last Nozomi at 21:20...
