9 days Hokkaido - Is it doable?

HI, I am planning for a 9 days Hokkaido starting and ending at Sapporo
Could someone advise if the following is feasible if I drive in Hokkaido?
Day 1 Sapporo
Day 2 Biei
Day 3 Asahidake Onsen
Day 4 Daisetsuzen
Day 5 Lake Akan
Day 6 Lake Akan
Day 7 Obihiro
Day 8 Noboribetsu
Day 9 Sapporo
Would this be overly ambituous? I hope I wont have to drive more than 4 hrs a day from one location to another
Will I have enough time in one location for leisure sight seeing?

seems ambitious. Lake Akan is quite far. Using a JR pass probably will save more time and allow for more sightseeing time. We were there this Feb 08 and had a good time!
