Storing Luggage while climbing Fuji?

We plan to go to Mt Fuji 5th station by public transportation from Tokyo with luggage. We will climb and stay at mountain hut and descend next day. Where can we store luggage? Also, anyone know how to get reservations at Station 8 Fujisan Hut? Thanks!

There are lockers at the 5th station, but I don't know how big and numerous they are.

You could also use a large coin locker at a station, which you pass before and after the climb, e.g. Shinjuku Station.

If you stay at the same hotel before and after the climb, the hotel will probably be able to store your big luggage there.

If you stay at different hotels before and after the climb, I recommend to use a delivery service to send your luggage from hotel A to hotel B:
