Hotel Near Soja

We will be flying into Osaka and catching a train to Soja near Okayama that night. Can you suggest a hotel that would be near a train station? Someone said Kurashiki may be a better place to stay than Soja. A hotel in Kurashiki near the train station would be fine also. Will we have to transfer trains?

You can go by JR Haruka train from KIX airport termial to ShinOsaka station, change here for a shinkansen to Okayama, change to a JR Hakubi train to Soja. This line goes via Kurashiki.
There is a Granvia Okayama hotel within Okayama station and further ones nearby.
