I got an offer for 330000 yen/month (USD3300) and mostly working place will be in osaka or kyoto. Accomdation and trasnportaion and insurance will be provided by company. can any one give idea how much it will cost for food, utilities ( mobile, internet, TV, gas, power etc), some weekend outings (movie and dinner) .

I think you can live on that. Here's what I might spend in a month in yen.
Food 50,000 to 80,000 Utilities 40,000 to 50,000 Movies 2,000 to 3,000 a movie Dinner 2,000 to 30,000
It's only a rough estimate though.

Thanks for prompt reply. i forgot to mention in previous msg that i need to pay tax. do u have any idea rought what percent of my monthly salary goes for Tax? moreover i will be sharing apartment with atleast one more guy. do you think still utilities will be arnd 40000yen if two people share ?

330,000 yen a month is good, you should do well, but becareful the companies in Japan say accomadations are paided but many time you will get to Japan and they take the rent from your salary, make sure you ask alot of questions and make everything clear before coming. Good Luck

Don't know about taxes, but I agree with the previous poster. Pay attention to the details. Is it a Japanese company?

yes, it is japanese company. and they are putting it as a part of agreement paper. Anyway as you suggested i will be careful and double confirm about accomdation and transport.
