Watashi wo daisuki desu ka? 2008/5/13 05:24
My friend sent me a text that says "watashi wo daisuki desu ka."
I know that watashi is "I,"
and daisuki means "to like very much."
Desu makes it polite, and ka indicates a quesion, correct? But I thought wo indicates "you" are the subject, and for some reson, I don't get what he's saying. Can someone help me with this please?

It means "Do you love me/ like me a lot?"

Object particle 2008/5/13 17:29
Sarah,

The particle "wo" (also written as "o") indicates the object, not the subject, hence your confusion.
