If you have tried to learn the shakuhachi and preferably by yourself, can you recommend me the best starting book/cd system you have found, I am very much wanting to learn this but stuck in a place where a sensei would be hard to find.
I know there are a few online teachers but I wold rather learn the basics on my own so they are firmly established in my mind before seeking further aid.
