I'm planning on taking the Twilight Express from Osaka to Sapporo in July, using my JR Pass.
Does anybody know how much the supplementary fee is for the non-JR tracks that the train travels on?
Couchette and room prices on the train are quoted here on japan-guide.com, but do those include the additional fees?

Does anybody know how much the supplementary fee is for the non-JR tracks that the train travels on?It doesn't! It runs on JR tracks on its entire route. However, sleeping compartments are not covered by the Japan Rail Pass. You would have to pay a supplement of at least 11,000 yen per person. See details here: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2356.html
