how can i be an exchange student in Japan? What are the requirements? What do i need to know, and do?

Well How do you want to do it? You could do an exchange program through a school, which is probably the easiest way.

are you in high school or in the univeristy(college)?

if the second, then you have few possibilities:
1. search for some exchange programs that your uni offers

2. go there as self-financed student. but you will have to pass the examination and pay the fees

3. apply for japanese government sponsored scholarship (check your embassy if you are enrolled)
