Can we teach in Japan?

I'm currently working on my bachelor's in TESL, while my husband is working on getting a TEFL certification.
My husband is at this moment 27 years of age and an Australian national. I do not originally come from Australia and will be graduating from a South East Asian university.
We're wondering how feasible would it be for to go and work in Japan together?

It sounds like you will be able to. Have a look at the Japan Branch of www.eslcafe.com , starting from the really informative FAQs, for loads of info on how to find jobs, what's required etc.
