Where can one learn about Japanese fortune telling (uranai) in Japan? Should one approach an individual fortune teller for instruction?

The May 1993 issue of Nihongo Journal has a large section on Japan's uranai. Unfortunately, it is pretty hard to find back issues of Nihongo Journal these days. Try a good size library perhaps.
