It seems all enquiries go to JAL anyway. We found last time that though we had booked with JAL we were on a Jetstar plane with meals and a blanket and no alcohol. Be carefull.

Codeshare 2008/5/23 15:50
You're right Connie, JAL has a code share with JetStar. I'm a bit surprised as usually codeshare means you get the same level of service for your money. Other resources indeed state that Alcoholic drinks and additional snacks will be available for purchase onboard. :-(

Inquire at the airport what company will actually be operating the flight.

I might suggest you not to overlook their exorbitant fuel surcharges.

Tickets issued by the end of June: US$ 180/each way on SYD-NRT flight
From July: US$ 253/each way on SYD-NRT flight

Inflight service-wise, I recommend you to fly with Cathay Pacific or Singapore Airlines, even though you need to transit en route. In addition, their fuel surcharges aren't so high, if not so low, as JAL's.
